the point of the thread is just to show that god says you must have four wives according to muhammed, then muhammed all of a sudden said oh wait no god said i get to have more wives. The ruling for wifes is from surah Al-Nissa 4:3
And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice].
Nothing to with Muhammad.
Muhammad was allowed to marry more than this number as you showed.
