OK thanks for the insult. That always helps when asking someone something.
So, you want me to explain to you why people mistakenly, on my opinion, think that evolution is unbilical.
Supposed literalist/fundamentalists claim to take the Bible literally. What they in fact do is take the English translation literally, whilst ignoring what the underlying text is actually saying. It is more than clear that the real literal translation doesn't speak of natural events, but of symbolic events which lay the foundation to the Bible and establish God on his throne as the creator and sustainer of this reality. You would expect no less.
You needn't take my word for this. You can go and check it out for yourself. The book you need to read is John H Walton: the lost world of Genesis one. It's written in an open style for anyone to clearly understand. It thoroughly examines every aspect in detail and from every angle. I challenge anyone to fault it's credibility.
Now those people that believe in God and are Christians just like me, can be mistaken in their understanding. That makes them no less a Christian than me, or me a better Christian than them.
Given the clear understanding established above, Christians have no need at all to confront science, as science never challenges what the Bible says in establishing God in his creation.
