My story is long. It was not exactly one thing. But one question did get the ball rolling, a co worker said "What if Jesus was just a man", and right at that point that skepticism set in because before then I accepted what society told me but had nagging doubts I was scared to entertain. Then it grew over the years. I went from Christianity to deism, to finally atheism in maybe 7 years. Some people it takes no time at all and others it takes longer. This is the short version for me. Lots of other things built upon that skepticism and the more I thought the less sense it made.
