A lot of believers don't claim to be religious, but are merely theistic. Or, perhaps they follow the teachings of a religion, but do not participate in "organized religion", which they see as humans putting spin on God's word. It's possible to be anti-religious and believe in God, or Christianity, or any other belief system.
