They do speak out. There is conferences about how Islam is a religion of peace. I know Ayatollah's are writing books about what Islam teaches regarding war and peace, you can find them on http://www.al-islam.org. And protesters come out with signs that Islam teaches peace and condemn terrorism. At Friday Prayers - the leaders often talk about how Islam teaches peace and kindness.

The thing is the media pays no attention to this. It focuses on the negative preachers.

Here is some more verses:

عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ الَّذِينَ عَادَيْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ مَوَدَّةً ۚ وَاللَّهُ قَدِيرٌ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ {7}
[Shakir 60:7] It may be that Allah will bring about friendship between you and those whom you hold to be your enemies among them; and Allah is Powerful; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
لَا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ أَنْ تَبَرُّوهُمْ وَتُقْسِطُوا إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ {8}
[Shakir 60:8] Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice.
إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَىٰ إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ {9}
[Shakir 60:9] Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust.

Muslims constantly condemn terrorism. They constantly emphasize Islam teaches peace.

But then they are told, they are either deceiving or uneducated about their own holy book, and that in fact, Islam teaches to kill and murder infidels.

It's really unfair.

Tell me - was there ever a Muslim that came on this forum and told you Islam does teach to kill all infidels and terrorism is ok?

Or do you get the opposite message from every Muslim that comes here?
