The word libertarian/liberal has changed meanings

Liberal used to mean pretty much what people in the US would call libertarian, hence the term, 'classical liberal', you no good mooching social(ist) liberals even appropriated the word from us .

He is not a libertarian, not in the US sense of the word. Over in Europe though where, as TGaC pointed out, us libertarians are still called liberals, libertarian means something else,
