If you try to put yourself in his shoes, I'm sure you will see a person seeking pride, seeking honour, seeking enlightenment and guidance, but has come out misguided with various fallacies and false generalizations and a limited view point.
He is of course fighting for his pride here.
I sympathise because as a child, if someone insulted me, I would fight for my pride.
I like most of the theists on here. I also have no problems with empathy. I don't have a problem with people that are misguided I find them entertaining so long as they are genuine. He however has been an asshole to everyone. I see no reason to respect him.
