Joking vs mockery, respect or disrespect?

I would not respect my future self believing in hell because that would mean I had lost my ability to be skeptical of a place that hasn't a coon's chance...well, in hell...of actually existing. There's no good evidence for it. The disrespect would be because I had lost my integrity as a skeptic and reasoning person.

Now, if evidence for hell surfaced, I would merely accept it into the place I call reality. It's not about belief.
