On the subject of the Illuminati...

I feel lost. I don't know what to think anymore on this topic. I see both sides of the debate and I can see reasons for why people believe either way. But lately, I feel like this topic is really getting to me, in the sense that there's a very small fragment of me that fears this world isn't what it seems.

Just last night, I played a gig with a few other bands, and the headlining act was an Aussie band from Syndey that is signed. My guitarist pointed out to me that all the new merch they have on sale since they got signed features the all-seeing eye somewhere on the design. That was the last thing I needed to be thinking about last night; seeing a band whose backed up by "authorities" sponsoring a conspiracy. I had to be fair though, and I went up to their guitarist who was at the merch desk and I straight up asked why they had the all-seeing eye on their designs. Obviously he denied that they were associated with the Illuminati and he unknowingly went beyond and somewhat comforted my conscience by demonstrating he's someone who is aware of the world he lives in and actively goes further in research than simply believing what the media tells us all.

My mood got a little better when I went to the band's van to hang out and I brought up the conversation I had with their guitarist. They had a laugh about it and they said they were actually going to play along and pretend they were part of the Illuminati. So, to my surprise, during some songs they were making a triangle with their hands! I didn't tell my guitarist about the second conversation I had outside their van. Needless to say, his reaction when they started doing the symbol was priceless.
