Well, my main reasons for joining the forum are the following:
1. I like debates. This forum has enough of them to keep me interested. I became more interested in religion after I started to research it more (while I was actually researching atheism, there isn't much to talk about lacking a belief without mentioning the details of the belief you lack). So I like debating religion. Something to keep the mind occupied (uni isn't the same kind of mental work).
2. I have no friends. It's one thing in high school, but after going off to college...nothing to do (except classwork and studying), nobody to talk to...it gets old.
As for the reasons I remain, that would be both of the above in addition to the interesting topics that pop up (as well as the interesting characters).
I can tell that I have learned a lot since joining (many of my early posts were pretty bad...)
