I know that. I'm not sure what intrinsic value (in anything) would be, though. (resources necessary for survival?) My point was closer to apophenia's post in that the government gives it value, and to say that papers bills not being inherently worth what is printed on them sans government is a pretty desperate attempt to justify religion. (Apples to oranges, really. I'm not even sure where he's going with this.)
