That is the definition given in the Merriam Webster dictionary. Basing myself on it I think the use of the word encroachment to define Christianities attempts to make the world a theocracy is right on the money. If the shoe fits wear it.
Christianity has tried everything from wholesale murder to underhanded dealings with governments and political bodies to spread their cancerous faith based trash. And they continue to do so here in the U.S. I don't know what they have been up to in the U.K. so I can't comment on that. I can only comment on what I observe and experience here for myself.
