I guess we could just keep on with the path we are taking, building rifts between men and women until we consider ourselves totally different species altogether (women are from Venus, men from Mars etc). Then we can all just enjoy cheating and being cheaten upon (its less fun being the latter btw) and learn that not a single specimen from our species is trustworthy. Of course, the implications of not trusting another human being are psychologically complicatory and i thought it was what we were fighting to get away from. The effects of relational dishonesty in our society undermine our productivity (divorce, division of assets, throwing of assets out window, etc.) and there are casualties very often in the form of the younger generation who witness the inequities, are affected the most, and continue the line of primal behaviors. If you want to have sex with more than one person the rest of your life, find someone like minded who doesn't consider polyamorousness to be a betrayal. Then its not cheating. If you get mad at your spouse or things aren't working: go to counseling and if that doesn't work then amicably end the relationship. Like a boss.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
