This reminds me of around a year or so before when I became an atheist, when I was still trying to make sense of the Christian worldview, a friend of a friend approached me with 2 flyers and asked to talk to me. One of the flyers was about "How we know the Bible is true" and the other was "How we know God exists". I thought, hot damn, this is exactly what I need to hear! So I sat down and we talked. The Bible flyer was basically "We know the Bible is true because in the Bible it says so" restated in 10 different ways. The God flyer was basically "We know God exists because He said so", once again, restated in 10 different ways. I can only imagine the look of disappointment that must have been on my face.
Ultimately, this person did me a service though, in showing me the insanity of this point of view. I never got the chance to thank him.
