So, let's deconstruct that, for a moment. The tree represents love, but don't go near it, humans. Don't eat from it, or you'll die. Oh no, wait, just spiritual death, you'll actually just be cast out of paradise, made mortal and forced to toil, as will every one of your descendants forever, and also death is now a thing and all the carnivorous animals have suddenly become carnivorous (according to some interpretations.) Is that seriously what you think love is?
