The way Monsanto practices its business leaves a bad taste in my mouth so I don't really enjoy the way they do things. However, most biotech companies have extreme patent agreements now so there really isn't much choice.
My largest concern with Monsanto is that they genetically modify their seeds to produce sterile plants (which is catering to the non-GMO people since they can't interbreed, but that's not my concern) so that farmers cannot replant their yield at the end of the year. They must continue purchasing the expensive seeds to replant each year. This is very costly especially in poorer areas and it leads to a dependance on the company.
