Everyone hates the government until FEMA saves their lives.

And slave masters give their slaves food and shelter. Is that good too?

To be honest with you, I didn't feel like a slave when FEMA helped save the lives of members of my family who were living in Long Beach (NY) during Hurricane Sandy. And I certainly didn't feel like a slave when FEMA dispatched a dozen or so workers to help me and others search and rescue other people around Long Beach and provide food and water to them.

In fact, they were a huge-ass help. Didn't really feel like they were slave masters to me. Unpopular opinion, I guess?
