Okay...that last bit of yours about Mormon Inquisition...all I can say is that I think it's speculation on your part (especially since it's the first I've heard about it, and I've heard quite a bit, as you can guess). Romney may be a member of the Mormon Church, but he doesn't work for them. His opinions can be swayed by his Church Leaders, but he won't go on a witch hunt for naysayers.

Not so speculating, but learning from history of catholic middle age europa and even from the situation of todays muhammadan ruled countries.
In the middle age there was practically every european a catholic by force of catholic rule. No mission in europe necessary. What now did the ruling church do tu supress the all catholic world even more? Inquisition, witch hunt, torture and robbing of their wealth of s u s p e c t s who were often wrongly accused of straying from the catholic path.

In todays muhammadan dominated countries we have a related situation of the above. A few weeks ago, for example, the good muhammadans there wanted to execute an analphabetic dumb muhammadan girl for accidentally throwing away a few quran pages while cleaning up. And according to schariah the death penalty is correct in such a case.

I cannot believe that any abrahamitic sect who would get to rule the world would be different.
And todays LDS is openly striving to get in line with the big churches. Sadly they move farther and farther from the teachings of Joseph smith, who was at least amusing, interesting and lovable ( I read the Fawn Brodie biographie).

Let me just say this: There is no Mormon Conspiracy. They're just a cult.

Yes. But it is interesting that a cult with a private state (Utah) strives to send his members into leadership posts in the whole USA.
But it is their natural way looking at mormons. No secret conspiracy, but theyr Prophets old plan of a world theocracy.
Their doctrine (and convenants) commands them to work toward that goal. Of course its the same with every other abrahamitic sect.

That Mitt Romney personally is member of the mormon "Inquisition tribunal" and personally excommunicated many mormons I read in a newspaper. This is wrong you say ?
