deleting account

I've never "got" why people need to delete their accounts - smacks of attention seeking to me.

I've been through many various forums over the last 12/13 years, most I've moved on from, never have I asked to have my account deleted.

Though I've had a couple of accounts involuntarily "deleted" if you know what I mean.

Probably related to an over-developed sense of shame, honor, and that illusive Asian concept of "face." All of which, religious people appear more tuned into than the non-religious.
