Having a gun doesn't necessarily make you the aggressor. Skittles are irrelevant; he still had his fists, and evidence suggests he started using them.

Also, the cops didn't tell him not to; they told him they "didn't need [Zimmerman] to do that". That is not an order; it's not really even a suggestion. Zimmerman also responded "OK".

FYI, I'm in favor of a manslaughter conviction. I don't think the guy had the intent to murder, and if Trayvon attacked him, his actions were self defense.
