Even anti-semetics is a mindfuck. I would easily be called an anti-semite, but I in fact have no hatred towards anybody, especially over beliefs or history. In fact, the Semitic peoples are tan, like the Palestinians, whereas most Israeli Jews are Kazarian, from the Russian caucuses and are white skinned. So even that term is misleading and false, and don't get me started about the use of anti-semitism as a stick with which to beat nations and their people into quiet dismissal.
Here in Canada we recently had a very, very unheard of event. We were able to get the hate speech laws repealed, which is a great step forwards, and unprecedented in scope. They showed that the Edmonton police were posting hate speech to entrap others into hate-crimes. That is not like baiting pedophiles online, but more like making child porn to fight child porn. It is breaking the law it is upholding. And the Canadian Jewish Congress was shown to be the largest financier of the now defunct Canadian National Socialist Party, solely to use it as a boogeyman to further their draconian thought crime agenda.
Let me state again, I hold no single person accountable for Israeli influence in the west, and would never hurt a fellow human being. I am not promoting hatred, I am defending honesty and justice. But really now, is it anti-semitic hate speech for me to react in disgust to the wars in Lebanon and Palestine? They would say it was.
And let's let them have 6,000,000 dead. Fine. There are now about 6,000,000 dead Afghans and Iraqis, just to put it into a modern perspective.
And I agree that Canada did have a heroic history in terms of war an peace. Our help in the great wars was real, not self serving and destructive like the Americans. Out peacekeeping record was very good, but the UN has since stopped even asking if Canada would delegate, because for about 10 years we have done no peacekeeping. And I was there when Chretien say no to Iraq, but then Harper said "Yes" to Afghanistan, and no Canadian seemed to notice the changing of their national identity. And don't get me started about Harper and Israel, we might be more pro-Israel than even America now.
Ugh. I rant against Israel because of what they have done, not who they say they are. My anger is not based on faiths, only on accountability for actions.
Thanks.
To Eilo, I suppose you're right with that distinction. I just think people who literally deny the holocaust seems about as common as people who deny evolution. Pretty rare, and the lines can blur where I can question the facts of what they teach me about the holocaust and be called a denier, which is much more absolute and insane.
