You can't win this. For one, the holocaust was happening in the 1940's. Our grandfather's generation.

Slavery was illegalized in the 1860's in the US. Our Great Great Grandfather's generation.

People we never met. People who died long before we were born.

But the 1940's? Heck, many of those people still walk among us even today.

Oh, so racism in the US stopped after 1864?

There were no lynchings in the South after the 1860s?
No racial segregation?
No preventing of the black vote?
There was no need for the civil rights movement?

And wait: Whilest the generation of world war 2 is in it`s deathbed - is it not so that the South of the US is still onw of the most racist places in the western hemisphere?

Either you are delusional and refuse to look at things which disrupt your image of your society, or you are a historic revisionist or you simply didn`t get what I was writing about in the first place!

My point is: We learn from our mistakes and the sentence "Never again" has become part of our national psyche!
Now tell me, what great lessons has the south learned from it`s racists past and present? What actions have been undertaken by that society to cut down on racism?

Two. No foreign country invaded the US to make us stop slavery. We descended into the bloodiest war our country ever had. Internal civil war. More dead than all other wars in our history combined. Brother against brother. American against American.

And racism never occured after that again?!

The entire point of my last post was that I accuse the South of not having undergone the process of learning from their mistakes, and those mistakes do certainly not lie as far back as the 1860s! Tell me, how come that highschools in Georgia still have racialy segregated school events? How come there are so many more hate crimes in your Part of the US than in the rest?
Racism did not end ith the civil war and the end of slavery, it certainly did not end with the civil rights movement and it will not end simply because you refuse to acknowlege it`s existantce.

The South is racist even today, the Germany of today is one of the most democratic nations on earth and one of the least antisemetic countries in the western hemisphere! Hence - You lose!!!

Nazi Germany had to be taken down from both sides by the Soviet Union on one side and a combined Allied force of the US, England, Free France, and Canada on the other side for your people to stop gassing the jews.

My entire accusations against you were centered arround the question of answering if the South actualy learned from it`s mistakes. You refuse to answere that and post irrelevant historical facts. Out of which I must conclude that you simply dont like the answere yourself which is: Your society refused to learn and is still as racist as it use to be.

Three. The South sat in ruin for a century after this sin was expunged. Crushing poverty for generations. Your country was built up immediately thereafter by your occupying forces. Crushing poverty? Fuck no. Economic powerhouse even before a shit ton of Nazi party members were even thinking about buying a burial plot. No former slave owners in the US saw anything like that. They just saw eternal poverty until the day they died. As did their children.

Irrelevant. Except you can show how racism ended in the South after the 1860s. Or did it not?

We used African Americans to till our crops. You used Jews as kindling for your ovens.

You keep mentioning the end of slavery as if it really did end racism in the US. Do you actualy really believe that??????

If anything can be compared it is how those nations learned their lessons from history and how they implemented these lessons into creating todays modern society. In which case - you lose, for reasons mentioned before and which you chose to overlook.
