Nice to meet you, BadWriterSparty! Is it okay if I ask what your reasons for leaving the Church were?

I think I understand why you're an Atheist now though. I think I would be too if I ever came to the conclusion that Mormonism was wrong...I mean, nothing else could possibly be right, as the LDS Church certainly shows how it's an all or nothing deal.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't assume this kind of bullshit about me. You may seem like a nice guy on the surface, but your reason for being here is the same as all the other Xians who show up spouting their bullshit and assumptions.

The reason I'm an Atheist is because of doubt, not because it's either the Mormon Church or no Church at all. The Mormon Church was easily falsifiable, what with the Kinderhook plates, the Book of Abraham, and DNA testing of the American Inidans. Joseph Smith was a con artist through and through. No...the journey out of Mormonism was a long one, but realizing it was all bullshit was fairly simple. I'm an Atheist because I'm a skeptic, and I don't rely on something as foolhardy as faith. Faith is a bred killer, and it's the genocidal kind.
