Sounds like he's still following him to me?He gets out of his car and can be heard walking for a while before the dispatcher says they don't need him to follow Treyvon (they never asked him not to). Zimmerman said "OK". Either one of three things happened:
1) Zimmerman continued following Treyvon, which explains why it sounds like he is still walking outside.
2) Zimmerman stops dead in his tracks (unlikely, as his footsteps can still be heard, but it also sounded very windy).
3) Zimmerman stops pursuing Treyvon but doesn't stop walking (he either changes direction back towards his car, or as he says, he tries to find out which house number he is near to.
All three options could account for the sounds heard after Zimmerman says "OK". Option 2 is the most unlikely, because you can still hear footsteps. In my view, whether Zimmerman stopped walking or not isn't the issue here. It's whether he stopped pursuing Treyvon, which you cannot tell from the audio (unless you have a method for distinguishing the sound of footsteps following someone and the sound of footsteps not following someone). Instead, you have to look at the other evidence, part of which is his testimony to police, another part is the location of the attack.
