George Zimmerman: Weak Prosecution

George Zimmerman: Weak Prosecution
http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/cri...alysts-say

Quote:The prosecution of George Zimmerman for second-degree murder in the killing of Trayvon Martin last year appears to be collapsing, thanks in large part to testimony offered by witnesses called by prosecutors, according to legal experts and analysts. Even though the judge refused to allow Martin’s history of drug use, fighting, and school suspensions into evidence, explosive witness testimony provided during the trial may still prove devastating to authorities and their bid to convict Zimmerman.

More than a few commentators have suggested that the murder charges were concocted to satisfy race profiteers, the out-of-control U.S. Justice Department, and the establishment media. Critics of the prosecution, including heavy-hitting law professors and attorneys, say prosecutors have engaged in ethical violations in what appears, to many analysts at least, to be an over-zealous bid to convict Zimmerman in the absence of solid evidence.

It is a grotesk notion that the verdicts by a court should somehow appease the public.
And there is no place for it in a democracy.

So, the guy with the gun follows the kid with the Skittles, after even the cops told him not to, and the kid ends up dead and this guy is not guilty?

Only in America.

I think someone didn't read the article...

The article is irrelevant. I thought from the start that the state overcharged in this case - manslaughter would have been the wiser course of action.

We still have a guy with a gun following a kid with a bag of Skittles and the kid ended up dead.

BTW, you do know that "The New American" is the magazine of the John Birch Society? Right?

What do Skittles have anything to do with it? If the kid was the aggressor and attempted to reach for Zimmerman's gun, then Zimmerman SHOULD walk on the grounds of self-defense. I have been following the trials and watching the actual video from court. I believe, from a legal perspective, the prosecution's case is incredibly weak! What's even worse for the prosecution is that most of their witnesses HURT their case rather than help them.

Or…

Local safety activist acquitted of all charges by a jury of his peers for shooting the young criminal that was trying to kill him after a bogus prosecution by DA attempting to appease public mob whipped into frenzy by biased reporting.

Yeah...that's Zimmerman's story. Of course, the other guy is DEAD.

Hey, don't get me wrong. It's Florida. I didn't really expect any different outcome.

All Zimmerman had to do to avoid this situation was listen to the cops when they told him to back off. Seems to me he was looking for trouble.
