If this is what you truly believe then you agree with others of us on this forum, (both atheists and theists alike), who have been saying all along that this was not a racial issue. A tragedy yes, but not a racial issue. So I'm assuming that you also agree that Zimmerman's shooting of Trayvon Martin was not racially motivated and that Zimmerman shot Martin in self defense. Is that what you're saying?

Also, if you say this was not a race issue, and I'm assuming you read the whole thread, then you're calling out others who actually did make race an issue of this...correct?

So, to clarify; In Florida it's perfectly okay to murder an innocent young man in the street as long as he's unarmed, black, and you stalk him first?

Anyway, the entire case just shows how racist the country still is when a black person with a hoody is considered to be "suspicious".

Ultimately, the big lesson for me is the reactions to this event from certain people... and other people giving kudos in a knee-jerk reaction, like members of the KKK at one of their rallies.

Racial profiling took place that night. If it were a white man or white woman would it still have happened the same way? No. He was black, he was male, ergo he "matched the description" of previously reported burglar(s).

How do you see the Zimmerman / Martin incident? Do you disagree with the contention by some that Zimmerman's shooting of Martin was racially motivated?
