I suppose I did, but I think you should have made that statement a little more clear also.

Maybe YOU don't even know what your position is.

We also do not know exactly how Allah creates, do we? So why should I think that Allah and His creations are made of the same substance?

1. Always. TBH I didn't notice myself missing out the full qualifier.

2. Cheeky! lol Everything I've thought about I have a position on. This one's an old one, and I'm sure that a search Ninja such as yourself could find plenty of evidence.

3. Yes we can absolutely know that the substance of creation is a derivative of the source element/s. No other substance exists unless you want to surmise that what you're talking about isn't actually the source.
If you're willing to state that, (maybe that's Qur'an'ic ™ :p ), you know you have my full support!
