There are many reasons why a person might look at your thread, and yet refrain from commenting. To assume it means *one specific thing* is incredibly presumptive.

Further, I do not care about either gay rights or abortion rights, or infact: rights at all. I sometimes choose to express the same thing I always express (that being I'm all for people making their own decisions wherever these do not override another's decisions in regard to themselves)... but mistaking such for 'Violet cares about X group' is just silly

Also, Hellenistic philosophies were a cornerstone of Roman society, which was a strongly homogenizing force upon the world. I'm really not sure that you would want to be using them as your example... because I'm more than willing and able to eviscerate Greek culture wholly upon its own merits (a particular focus of such being where women stood in said population).
