Non-life does not "crave life" it can't it has no mental processes.

Did anybody told you that instinct does not need a mental process?
Uranium crave for freedom and yet does not have brains.

Evolution of consciousness is entirely dependent on evolution of the brain in the same way that shit is dependent on the intestine.

Vegetable and minerals haven't got a brain and yet they evolve.
What push a climber to move around in search for better condition is not the brain which they haven't got but is the consciousness through the instinct.
One more thing. It is not the brain that shape the consciousness but the other way around.

The only people saying humans came from nowhere are creationists. Humans evolved and have a long lineage.

Ah, ah again you are talking about collective evolution while i am talking about personal evolution.
Collective evolution is as bad as creationists in which you become a human being without passing from lower form of life to higher form of life.
Same garbage same dogma.
Nobody in nature is jumping the evolutionary queue.
If in this life you behave like an idiot in the next life is very likely that you will reincarnate into a cockroach and a dog may reincarnate into a human being.
If your piece of consciousness will fit in that particular mosaic then you will get there. It does not really matter what you were before.
It is all up to where your consciousness will take you.
