What can we do to promote Atheism? How can we unite?

Hello guys,

I have been thinking, What can we do to promote Atheism? How can we unite?

Religious folks have all the support they need. They have community, church members, mosque etc where they gather and make plans to convert other unsuspecting victims.

We athiests, are quiet and spread all over the world. We do not have local gatherings, or a strong set of community to help us out during persecution by religious folks or so. Nor do we have a way to keep everyone informed about the latest stuffs etc.

Isn't it a time to do so? I would love to participate with athiets and do good to people. We can be a good example and show the religious people that we can help the needy, care for each other without religion.

Frankly, people are born into a religious society everyday, and most of them don't have a chance to question their reality because of their situation. If we had a community, we would be able to make the world a better place with no religion sooner.

For one, this forum is an amazing place to socialize and share about our views. I found this site from google. Had it not appeared in the google search, it would be a tough luck to find such a good community.
What say my fellow brethrens? How shall we proceed in a better and effective way?

To be honest, I think there's a few organizations out there that have been promoting the idea of atheism fairly well...or at least forms of it. For example, I am a member of both American Atheists and the American Humanist Association, both of which are the most prominent atheist movements in North America. Their donations, however, are slim pickings because of how they are NOT religious organizations that guilt-trip their members into forking over money to keep them running. As a result, they are not nearly as prominent as many religious factions are.

I would suggest looking into both organizations and consider donations or outreach programs. Another way is to seek out local atheists by means of the internet, keep them in contact, meet up with them, encourage them to take a more prominent role. I've been considering doing this myself to see if I can get more people into Humanism so as to start a local charity to assist others who need aid.

SoC, they're a UFO religion. That's basically like saying Scientology is equal to atheism in reason and logic...when in fact reali...realiata...uh...ramalamadad is the exact same thing as Scientology and Christianity and Islam and Judaism; claims without proof and "divine" messengers being gifted to The Chosen Ones(s). It's just another cult, just like the previously mentioned ones.
