Right, but the government does not pay for that- the government does not have any money. It's in trillions of dollars of debt, all the money they spend is in debt, taken from future generations, printed, or taken from the tax livestock.
You are making the mistake of mixing up the government; a violent monopoly. With the characterisation of an actual voluntary company. If the government was like a company, it would of collapsed thousands of times already. But because they can initiate violence, they simply are not bound by moral or economic constraints, they do whatever, because they can take from others.
The only freedom, is freedom from illusion.
