True freedom is the ability to separate yourself from God. For Those who spend a life time separating themselves from God, why would they see eternal separation a punishment?
Eternal separation at about 350 degrees centigrade sounds pretty punishing to me particularly with devils doing all sorts of nasty things to your naughty bits.
