Russia halts adoptions to Sweden over gay nuptials

I've read all the replies, and it seems that many people pointed out to the "backwardness" of Russia-one that was not caused by being anti-homosexual, but by an ideology that have denounced every other ideology as being reactionary and declared themselves as the sole "progressive" form of thought on earth. Communism.
However with its death, people began to cherish their traditional values without the fear of persecution. In the west, those who cherish their traditional values are not persecuted by authorities, but are criticized by the so-called liberal intellectuals, descendants of the same form of thought that have discarded the economic aspects of marxism, but retained its anti-cultural and anti-national aspects. Those are the ones that not only Putin, but I and a lot of nationalists from many different countries detest.
Although I have voiced my doubts about Putin, I think that his actions should rather make Sweden think about what its doing. Why not halt adoptions to..say, the Netherlands or Germany?
Well, mostly because Sweden obviously went to far in its liberal madness.

Well, sure, Putin might be a "thug" as you say, and a pragmatist, though not really regressive. I believe its you who wish to regress, and bring humanity back to the ancient times, where sexual morality was unknown, sexuality was practiced at very young ages, and vice such as intoxicants and gambling ran rampart. Your enlightenment does not go beyond praising egoism and excessive individualism.
