Radical Christianity 101

Christian faith is radical and fanatical.
No doubt, there are Muslim groups
(and others) that would hold a gun
to a christian's infant's head and
demand that they deny christ. I know
many christians who have told me
that they would never deny christ,
and that they would willingly martyr
themselves along with their infant
because it meant that they would
be ushered into heaven.

How is it that Christians are fanatical and radical?
Death has nothing to do with being in heaven, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ brings grace into our lives from God Father.
Faith is the opposite of denial.

Now tell me christians....

How is your willingness to die
to get into heaven based on
your religion any better than
the religion of the ones who
are willing to kill you so they
can get into heaven? Aren't
you both willing to die for god?

Dying for God has nothing to do with getting to heaven.
To live eternally with God requires faith in the Son of God,
through this faith we receive grace from God the Father.
God says murders will not enter into His eternal kingdom,
so committed terrorist will not be there, simple really.

After all... Allah is "The One True God"™
The Quran says so... It's inspireed don't ya know?

If it's inspired it is inspired by Satan.
Satan is the great deceiver and that means many have
been deceived, tell me how does it feel to be deceived?

You do realize that christians and Muslims
believe the EXACT same things, right?
That everyone outside the faith (respectively)
is doomed to eternal hell where you and god
get to indulge in the pleasure of watching
'infidels' being tortured in hellfire - Right?

Are you so deceived that you really believe they
are the same, interesting that one could be so deceived.
Only unforgiven sinners will be rejected and sent to hell.
No one will watch the suffering happening in hell,
scriptures tell us this.
For someone who claimed they were a Christian you sure know little about it, oh that's right you have been deceived for a very long time.

The impetus for this thread is a bit dark. Last night, when my wife arrived
home following a bible study, she talked about strong faith. I asked her if
she would be willing to deny christ if it meant that it would save her life.
She said, "No." I asked her if she would take a bullet and die rather than
deny christ; she said "Yes." I was sad. She asked why I got sad. I told her
that I was sad because religion had the power to take my wife's life away;
whether by the hand of a terrorist (whatever that is now), or by her own
free will. I am sad that my wife would effectively commit suicide for a lie.

You should tell her how jealous you are of her strength.

I never attacked you nor your wife, you are full of hatred for Christians. I did not attack 'fff's wife, actually I was commending her for the strength see shows in her faith and for her God, and he is jealous of her because he sees she loves God above all. What he doesn't realize is the love she has for God enhances her love for him, that is what I would consider being a coward or should I say insecurity. Who said anything about forcing his convictions on her? He merely commented on the distress he felt when hearing his wife would die for something he believes to be false.

You know it really doesn't matter what he believes, it is her life and she has the right independent of his will to live it as she sees fit. If he is going to force his will on her then what kind of husband does that make him.

The problem is that no one except the Christians here are talking about anyone forcing anything on anyone. Does your persecution complex run so deep that if a man shows concern that his wife is willing to die for her(and your) religion, he must be forcing his will upon her? Grow up and quit pretending like you're taking some kind of high road here. You have the balls to criticize what kind of husband he is, but your reading comprehension is so low you can't even grasp his point. Clearly it doesn't matter what anyone actually says as long as you get to feel that your beliefs are being persecuted and you can feel superior for condemning someone based on something that only happened in your deluded, little mind.

This whole thing came about because he wanted pity from you guys, how pitiful is that. When I challenged him by saying he was jealous, he blew this whole thing out of proportion, to me it's just childish at best. Now let's just drop this whole unfortunate deal.

I'm sure most of the theists here have recognised by now that most of us 'atheists' don't really care about their beliefs or their version of 'god'. In fact, the only reason we're talking about it at all is because folk such as yourself insist on doing so. If people just kept their beliefs to themselves, then the world would be a better place.

But, as you say, you can talk to us all the time about your beliefs. Nobody here is going to stop you from doing that. It's just odd that so many theists start to get their knickers in a twist when people disagree with them, and disagree with them forcefully. Not accusing you of being such as person, but it's evident throughout this board.

Some people however seem to lack that basic human ability to empathise. When I spoke about my dad, I didn't do so with the aim of eliciting sympathy, or concern. I did it to counter a point made by another poster. Yet somehow, on that thread, I was accused of using my father's condition as a stop tactic on the debate; to stifle it using an 'un-touchable subject (family)'. That is false, and demonstrably false to anyone who read the thread in question. I was then attacked by the other poster, and worse, had my own father's condition used as an attack against me.

This is the reason for Esquilax's post above.

And there's two people in this world. People who know what I'm talking about, and people who lack the ability to empathise and understand reasoning.

I mentioned my parents on here a couple of times and they were run into the ground by the ones you believe are the do-gooders. I have not nor will I ever mention them before such heathens again, so you all should quit your crying and move on this has become pathetic.
