Let me see if I can boil it down so even a theist can understand it.
A creationist god, given that he loves all of his children equally, would not design a sexual selection preference that would greatly favor a minority and cause great mental anguish for another minority. The bible is evidence for this characterization.
Evolution, on the other hand, is characterized by this selection. What we observe is therefore evolutionary derived and not created.
