First, I have considered myself 'Atheist' before, and have since moved on to a differen tview-point. From this view-point, I have come to better understand Atheism in a new light, and see certain of it's characteristics which I do not believe I could ever truly adhere to without lying to myself.
I joined here to further understand Atheism and Atheists since, no longer being one of them, I cannot say what it is like to be one completely. Ironically, the more I understand it, the less I understand why anyone would want to be it.*
Simply put, I have faith in my own perspective because I have overcome obstacles in the past which have led me to a better understanding of my own view-point.
*If you care, I'll soon be posting two topis, one of which will be entitled "The Nature of Atheism." Hopefully that will shed some light on my posts here.
