lol I wonder just what the real Christians would say to the comfortable smug misrepresentation of their religion that haunts this forum? I guess it should be no surprise to me at this point that a "theist" would resort to winey baby tactics.. But then, it still surprises me

Nah, don't question motivations or bow to no true scotsman, Luckie: it drives me nuts when the theists do it, I should be consistent with my reactions. I don't doubt GC considers himself to be a devout and worthy christian, though I think part of the problem is just how hard he considers himself that. He's sincere in his beliefs, he's just really bad at talking to people that disagree with him.

That being said, what did he hope to accomplish by bringing up threats in the first place? None of us were connected to it, else we'd remember; does he think all atheists are component aspects of some larger demon of Disbelief? Why would what someone else does reflect on us?
