Nah, don't question motivations or bow to no true scotsman, Luckie: it drives me nuts when the theists do it, I should be consistent with my reactions. I don't doubt GC considers himself to be a devout and worthy christian, though I think part of the problem is just how hard he considers himself that. He's sincere in his beliefs, he's just really bad at talking to people that disagree with him.

That being said, what did he hope to accomplish by bringing up threats in the first place? None of us were connected to it, else we'd remember; does he think all atheists are component aspects of some larger demon of Disbelief? Why would what someone else does reflect on us?

I love it when the theists counter provided verses that contradict the verses that you just posted, as if the biblical contradictions prove them right. When you mention it to them they then claim that they are not contradictory, you just chose the "wrong" verses.
