on a post you want to respond to directly (and only that one), you will get an edit box like:
Which allows you to write after it and preserve the quoted text perfectly.
Alternatively, you can hit the![[Image: postbit_multiquote.gif]](https://atheistforums.org/images/af/english/postbit_multiquote.gif)
buttons, scroll to the bottom of the page for "Quick Reply", hit the "Quote these posts now" link and have it appear in the Quick Reply box.
