What about empathy for the individual attempting to spread his genes, and have a family. The weak got raped because he/she was weak. Survival of the fittest!

Survival of the fittest works in modern society that has morals as well.
a society that doesn't rape works better than a society that does.
Think about it.
Gorilla sexual selection is based on the biggest gorilla best at fighting gets to pass on his genetics to the next generation based on fighting off other gorillas and forcing himself on women.
Human sexual selection is based on social skills intelligence and so on.
Who is the most powerful?
I'm an atheist and I can see for practical reasons rape is bad for society and it's good for me to live in a civilization that has outlawed rape.
I don't need a quran or bible or torah to tell me these things.
Now I've given you clear evidence at least one atheist (me) can show you for practical reasons why they think rape is bad.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
