Its a bold claim to say that morality is taught using myths. If it is, it really really shouldn't be.

I don't think it's a bold claim. I think it's an empirical observation. Children are taught morality using myths, stories, etc. I'm not sure how you can deny this. How do you think morality is taught?

A myth is a story without factual basis. If you are going to teach morals, examples that have actually happened are rather superior. I don't know how you teach your children morality, but I would never do it by myths, which would essentially be lying to them.
