And you've never seen women wrap men around their fingers and take control of a governing body before? Different strengths, many applications. Leadership-ability not significantly differing between genders and/or sexes. How leadership positions are taken and/or maintained, however, is quite different.
Women can be just as frighteningly and horrifically abusive as men, and can hurt you in ways that 'brutishness' could never even touch. The important thing for leaders, however, is in their head. Which is why it is only in the MOST PRIMITIVE of societies that we see 'the leader' being 'the strongest'.
Because immediately after that point, you have politics. (pst: you wouldn't believe the damage a pretty face can cause)

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
