Is aging a thing of the past?

I mean at the moment it's inevitable. Some of us will die younger, some will live to lose our dignity and become a burden to those we love, but we all die sooner or later. Hoe much worse if any death represented the loss of centuries of joy instead of mere decades!

I haven't thought about it to be honest. I've even put a lot of thought into this. I'm assuming though that if you along with the people you care about are living these kind of lifespans you'd all pretty well come to grips with life, and not be as devastated when someone did pass on. The issue i think is most pressing would be your perception of time.

After a few thousand years centuries would probably start to feel like years, and days wouldn't even register for you anymore.
There is no God, so can we please get back to science?
