Bullshit. Personal Computers are no longer just computers that you have at home. It's a different philosophy: pre-packaged assembly line Macs, or self-assembled computers designed with YOUR specs and YOUR interests in mind.

Dollar for dollar, a Mac user is pretty much paying extra for the icon and for the inability to inexpensively modify and guide their own computing experience. Nothing personal about that. The Apple laptops DO look slightly cooler when you whip them out in Starbucks to pretend to write poetry, though. There is that, I guess.
