With one hundred thousand dead, it's a lot more common than you're pretending. Though, they've gotten better at who they decapitate on the side of the road...they've been instances when they pulled over a caravan and let the people go when they could not find a person of interest....other times, they just killed the poor souls.

For fucks sake, I've been going to Mexico for over 20 years and have spent nearly a year in-country. What you describe is as foreign to my experience as the surface of the goddamn moon.
You could look at Detroit or D.C. and conclude that people in the U.S. are being butchered nationwide, and that just isn't so.
