So if soft Science Fiction counts as Fantasy...
I have a paradoxical problem - if I chose to live in the Star Trek universe, being a transdimensional being would be kind of boring compared to living there as a human or whatever. The positive thing about Q is that they have a vaguely human psyche, thus allowing the new existence to be a continuation of my old one in a meaningful way. This would not be given if I were a radically different kind of being, where there would not be much point in it being "me".
Anyhow, my problem is that I don't know a lot of phantasy in the first place I think middle earth is a relatively romantic place, being a wizard there should be fun.
