Fantasy and Sci-Fi movies thread

Fantasy and Sci-Fi movies thread
I am a majorly enthusiastic fan for fantasy movies among other kinds of movies. I have lists of my favorites in sections. There is another genre of movies that is closely related to this one. It is the Sci_Fi genre. As there are often Sci-Fi movies I love the most that often contain subtle reminders of how every now and then fantasy and sci-fi can cross their boundaries and go hand in hand if done properly.

What are your lists of Fantasy movies that are epic, for children, adapted from novels, and also sci-fi movies you can name that have elements of the fantasy genre in them?

Some classics:

The Wizard of Oz
The Last Unicorn
Ladyhawke
Beastmaster
Willow (I <3 Madmartigan forever)
Coraline (Fantasy/horror for kid, great stuff).
Ever After (don't hate me, I just love this movie)
Is Time Bandits sci-fi fantasy? lol
Tron
Willy Wonka (original)
Princess Mononoke
Edward Scissorhands (This is just one of my favorite movies of all time)
The Dark Crystal (This is so unique, I still own it)
And I gotta say it...Harry Potter. My favorite fantasy movie series, I think.
How to Train your Dragon
The Incredibles
Wall-E
Princess Bride (Top 5 movies of all time)
Monetey Python and the Holy Grail
Young Frankenterin
The Secret of Nihm.
Lord of the Rings
Ponyo
Song of the Sea
Lemony Snickit's Series of Unfortunate Events.
Scott Pilgrim Vs the World
X-Men
Short Circuit
Donnie Darko (more horror/fantasy, sorry, it's just so cool)
Thw whole Star Trek franchise, of course.

Are these getting too far out there? Fantasy suitable for kids or sci-fi with a touch of fantasy are pretty broad categories, and ones I also love!

Sci fi = Enders game. The book is just awesome. The movie is pretty good. Smile
Back to the future, all 3.
MIB, first one only.
The Fifth Element (Another of my top movies of all time)
Dune (not for children)
Tha Matrix (kind of..? the first one only really).
Inception.

I think I could do this all night! lol. What movies do you want to talk about?
