I agree, the more I'm reading of the Old Testament the more I come to the conclusion that God is an absolute arse hat. In fact, reading the Old Testament reminds me of an episode of Star Trek, where Kirk discovers an alien who has set himself up as a god/demigod on a backwater planet that has never encountered aliens or alien technology before. He's jealous, vengeful, petty, angry, bitter - you name it, and yet the local inhabitants see him as a God because he can do things they can't.
Along comes Kirk-Satan, tries and fails to depose Khan-God, and there you have it, God vs Satan.
Don't even get me started about Spock-Lucifer!
