No it doesn't but there was a lot of people that felt patriotic for the wrong reasons including myself. I won't do that again. I leave you with this to ponder on.
Not to mention, there are a lot of people who will use your sense of patriotism for personal gain. I seem to remember Bush spent the first two years after 9/11 calling anyone who disagreed with him a traitor, and he got away with it largely because we lined up in support of him right after the terrorist attacks.
Patriotism is like faith: it isn't bad by itself, but people can use it to get you to do bad things. So blind patriotism, like blind faith, is extremely dangerous.
