What the fuck is happening? Did David Icke call off this week's reptilian hunt?
Alexander Baron does a decent job of summarizing:
Comparing 9/11 and Kennedy assisination conspiracies:

The fact of the matter is that to hold the belief that the government of the United States was in any way complicit in the attacks of 9/11 requires willful ignorance of available evidence and information or an intentional disregard for the evidence if known to the person. Strangely, this trait is shared by people that believe the Bible to be the literal word of God. In both cases, it's simply fucking sad that adult humans can be duped so easily. In each case, proponents will look down on those of us who don't get it with an air of intellectual superiority dreaming that those believing in the conspiracy/literal Bible are naturally smarter.
Tell me what it feels like? It being what must be some euphoric sensation that comes with wanting to believe something so earnestly; an emotion so powerful that it shuts the mind off to evidence and reason. Plain stupidity cannot be held to account here, because many Biblical literalists and conspiracy cranks function normally outside the object of their affection.
Alexander Baron does a decent job of summarizing:
Quote: How has 9/11 affected me? That is a simple question to ask, but it warrants a complex answer. The bottom line is that has made me realise more than ever the frailty of human testimony and the fact that human stupidity and gullibility have no limits.
Comparing 9/11 and Kennedy assisination conspiracies:
Quote: The second thing is that both crimes have very prosaic and simple explanations which are supported by absolutely overwhelming evidence, yet all manner of people refuse to accept the obvious, the logical, the rational, the empirical, rejecting it in favour of some hair-brained claim that the government did it, or some conspiratorial group within the government or of which the government was/is part.
Quote: I could quite believe the 9/11 Truth Movement was invented by a Christian Fundamentalist to make Creationism sound plausible, because it is surely easier to believe the Earth was created at 9am on October 23, 4004 B.C., and that God put fossils in the rocks to test our faith, rather than give any credence whatsoever to the lunatic ravings of the more extreme truthers.
